Pygmy Goats

 

We love our goats here on the Back Quarter! They are family, NOT food! Billy is our 4 year old dwarf pygmy buck. He was a bottle baby so he is pretty spoiled. Hilary is Billy's little girlfriend. She is a 2 year old pygmy/Nubian cross or Kinder. She is off the wall crazy!! Their job here on the Homestead is to keep the yard and fence rows neatly trimmed. These two are our breeding pair and we hope to have kids in the spring to sell. Hilary is a twin and her mother has been known to throw triplets as well. Kinder goats are also very good milkers so Hilary will provide us with milk as well.

Billy and Hillary had a beautiful baby girl named Chelsea this April!!!

Two other goats have been added to the family. Star is a 4 year old silkied fainter. (FUN!)

Pan was a rescue bottle baby. He is currently 6 months old and is quite a handful!
